Let’s find out:

       What happened on May 29, 1953 ? Follow the given sequence and describe:

1.      4a.m = Edmund
Hillary and Norgay awake and got ready for their climb.

2.      6.30a.m
= They left their camp for their climb.

3.      11.30a.m
= They reached the summit of Mt. Everest.

4.      11.45a.m
= Hillary and Norgay made their way back down the mountain.

2) They came upon one particularly difficult rock face, that is
now called “Hillary’s step”.

3) They reached the summit of Mt. Everest at 11:30 a.m.

4) They enjoyed only 15 minutes at the top of the world because
of their low oxygen supply.

5) When their 15 minutes were up, they made their way back down
the mountain.
